Events are occurrences that happen within Voices of the Void. They can happen at random, by player action, or on a set day and time. Events can be visual or auditory. Some events will cause the player to lose their ability to pause, save, and sleep.
There are many different types of events, such as Dreams, 3:33am Events, Random Events, Story mode Events, and Game Over Events.

Dreams[]
Dreams are an event that have a chance of occurring when sleeping within a bed, and always happen when caught by the entity "Insomniac". Every single dream is able to be completed to gain stamina and even hunger depending on the dream, but if not completed, they will result in stamina loss. The dreams are representation of Kel's mind and needs which manifest as the goal of the dream. There are currently a total of five dreams that are playable. Additionally, at high rep with the Arirals, the player will often wake up with a shrimp pack on their bed after a dream.

Burger Dream[]
You are placed onto a burger platform that is connected to several other burgers with floating glowing burgers scattered about, all while in a black void.
How to beat: Collect all ten burgers within the stage and stay on the floating burger platforms until the dream ends to complete the dream. You will gain 50+ hunger, 50 points and some(?) stamina when you complete this dream and also get achievement.
Mannequin Dream[]
You are placed into one medium-sized open room with several tall and skinny pillars inside. The main room is surrounded by four smaller rooms in-which the mannequins spawn in at.
How to beat: Do not get touched by the mannequins for 120 seconds to complete the dream. You will gain 50+ stamina when you complete this dream and also get achievement.
Work Dream[]
You are placed in a medium sized box in front of a desk with various work-related things on it, such as drives and a drive box. The walls slowly close in.
How to beat: Get under the desk and try not to be crushed.
Raising Water Dream[]
You are placed into a very large area, with several tall and huge pillars and one door. Water will slowly raise to engulf you.
How to beat: Find the door to complete the dream before the water engulfs you. You will gain 50+ hunger when you complete this dream.
Hallway Dream[]
You are placed into a small and narrow hallway. At the very end of the hallway is a door. Water(?) will come out of the other end and chase the player as they run down the hallway.
How to beat: Race to the end of the hallway before the water gets you.
Climbing Dream[]
You are placed into a tall room with thin towers with pillars sticking of the sides and one large tower with a door on it.
How to beat: Climb to the top and enter the door.
Parkour Dream[]
You are placed on a pillar in a room with several other pillars, one of the pillars will have a door on it.
How to beat: Climb and jump your way to the door and enter it.
Spotlight Dream[]
You will be placed onto a small circle platform, and 4 Skinwalkers will raise from the void to stare at you. You will automatically wake up from this dream.
Shed Dream[]
You will be placed into a small shed within a small area of a forest. After a few moment, a UFO will spawn above the player and the player will be forced to look at it as it starts to pickup the player. You will automatically wake up from this dream.

Mysterious Door | A mysterious door may spawn outside of your base, usually very close but can spawn further away. It will spawn closed but after some time it will open. Buggy blindness | An event may occur during the game with an unknown chance. Blue Light prank | At 3:34 AM, all the power switches within the main building will be flipped off and several blue glowsticks will be placed around the base. They will show up as entities on the radar. The glowsticks are quite fragile, so be careful with them. | 17 | |

Ding Dong Egg Ditch | A loud and slow series of knocks will be heard on the front door. Outside the front door will be an egg, which you can eat. | 24 | |
Ariral Tree-house | A tree-house will be built over the course of a few days, between the Papa and Victor satellites. A campfire's smoke will signal when the event has started. Various items can be found here as the days go on such as three posters, night-vision goggles, and a large knife. There are also various props here that you will be hunted if you try to steal, such as a space heater, a space light, and a few beds you can sleep in. | 27-31 | |
Cardboard cutout prank | Once inside a satellite, you will hear footsteps running up and then down the stairs. There will two cardboard cutouts of aliens on the stairs, which the player can either destroy or take home. | 25+ | |
Stalker Ariral | An Ariral will spawn from the campsite (Minute after 2:00 if player doesn't sleep) and make the way over to the player. Once they knock over the player they will run away and despawn. | 29 | |
Brownie Trail | A series of footsteps will be heard running away from the front door, and with it, a trail of brownies will be left behind leading to a note which will read: "WE COME 4 DAYS. WAIT. READY BE US. PREPARE. OPEN DOOR. NO RESIST. HOPELESS. INEVITABLE. 3 DAYS." | 30 | |
Dropped Gun | An Ariral scream will be heard outside the base, and you'll find a strange alien device. You can not use the device as intended, but by throwing it or knocking it against the object you want to destroy, it will work. | 32 | |
Bed Prank | Whatever you are sleeping on will be placed near Sierra outside in the woods. If done with the standard bed, the mattress will now be movable and can be dragged back to base. | 33 | |
They Arrive prank | Late at night, the garage door will spark and won't be able to open, and you will received an email from Dr. Bao that tells the player that due to restarting the nuclear reactor, some stuff may be not working properly, and to climb to the top of the tower to restart it. Outside the front door, there will be three paper alien statues. After a few minutes the door to the garage will unlock. | 34+ | |
Obelisk Warning Shot | A loud explosion, similar to a mortar shot will be heard. A large obelisk will crash into the forest outside the base's main window soon after. After going near the object, it will display a hologram displaying a warning. The top row of the warning displays a creature interacting with a ball of light and being ripped apart. The bottom row displays a creature running away from the ball of light, and the ball of light being taken away. | 35 | |
Butchered Deer | After the landing of the Obelisk, the Yellow Wisps appear. While the wisps are wandering throughout the forest, the next day if the player decides to explore the forest, it is possible that they will find a grotesquely dead deer (It can be eaten), and that shows the damage that the Yellow Wisps can do. | 36-40 | |
Sun blackout | At around 11:00, the sun will turn off. All the natural light will be gone from the world, as if the lights were turned off. After a few moments the sun will turn back on. You will receive emails from Dr. Bao at the start of the event, and another one at the end of it and another from an unknown user saying sorry and one from Dr. Bao telling you to get back to work. | 37 | |
Vent Break-in "Prank" | An Ariral will spawn on a vent that hasn't already fallen in, causing the vent to fall in. The Ariral will then walk around, start to pickup things and throw them at you, and knock you over if you get too close. | 38 | |
Looker Signals | At the day start, 5 found signals will display on detector screen real-time recordings of the forest from above, and then your base. Sending the drives with those signals on any processing level will reward you with 0 points. There will be signal that displays image from far-right locker relative to the work station. Player will be warned to not look inside it via info popup. Looking inside will crash the player game. The last signal will be prevented from full downloading by unsuspected saving, but it still can be processed like the other ones. | 39-40 | |
Piramid Arrival | Entering the main building's main room at 18:00 will cause the Big Piramid to spawn. This Big Piramid will roam the site searching for Yellow Wisps to "take". Rozital Scouts | A group of Mini Pyramid Scouts will roam the area and search for anything left over by the Pyramid. They stay within a group. Visit and Email Spam | At 0:01, a Warp Arrow can be observed hovering in the distance. Several emails from "user" with "Blank" subject are sent to the player spelling "OUTSIDE" between junk symbols. The ship will warp away if the player attempts to approach it. If you are outside the base, the event will not start. You can take a photo of the Warp Arrow with a digital camera to get +15 ariral reputation points. | 13 | ||

Dropped Ariral Gun | An Ariral scream will be heard outside the main base. By leaving the building, the player will discover a supposed gun and a shrimp package next to the entrance of the base. This gun cannot be used by the player. However, it can either be held or thrown as a prop; dropping this gun should cause it to fire a laser that can penetrate any object with full recoil effect. The Ariral in question either has tripped or fallen hence dropping the gun by accident. After 1-2 days, the Ariral will steal the gun. Placing the gun in the tree house will allow you to gain many reputation points for the Ariral. | 24 | ||
Obelisk Warning Shot | At 15:40, a sonic boom can be heard before a large obelisk crashes into the forest in front of the base. When the player approaches the object, a hologram is displayed showing two scenarios: a person approaches a ball of light and is ripped apart, or alternatively, a person runs away from a ball of light and the ball of light is taken away. | 29 | ||

Garage Rozital | At around 19:00, a Rozital will spawn in the garage, attempting to clean your ATV. They will leave once you open the door for the garage. Rozital Mothership | At approximately 12:00, the earth will shake around and a giant Rozital cube shape ship will fly above the base slowly. This does not trigger base alarms and the ship does not appear on radar. | 42 | ||
Hole Repair | 4 purple Rozital beacons will shoot up to the sky, all positioned symmetrically around The Hole Landmark, numerous Kavotia entities will spawn around the Hole defending it. Inside The Hole Landmark, the metal grate is shredded and contains another Rozital Beacon but a giant yellow laser pointing straight down. This laser will kill you if you aren't being careful. If you were to go straight down you'll find that the bottom part of the hole has spawned a small chambered structure with little to nothing in it other than clumps of trash. The event ends around 4:00 AM on day 45 | 44 | ||
Grays Dumping | Starting on day 45, at night one Gray UFO will fly over the Main Base and dump a random object. It will do this continually every day at night until day 48. Two bodies and a exploded car with an ASO logo on a spare tire on the back will drop in a triangular manner. You could combine all three events by simply waiting outside the Main Base and on Day 48 you can trigger all three of them at once when walking into the signals room. | 45-48 |

Reputation Events[]
These events are related to a new mechanic introduced in 0.7, which are the reputation system. Those reputations are linked to the relationship with Ariral neighbors which is influenced by the player's actions.All the tiers contains 50 points requirement which goes from the lowest (-100) to highest (100). There are a total of 5 tiers which are in order: mean (-100), inconvenient (-50), normal (0), good (50), and loyal (100).

BAD SUN | At around 6:10 sirens begin blaring. At sunrise, the sun appears to be blacked out, as if the player is being "protected" from viewing the sun, as it is a likely cognito-hazard. If Kel enters the sun's line of sight at this point, their camera is forced to look at the sun and the player takes damage, blood and chunks of flesh(which can be eaten) falls off of them. If Kel stares at the sun too long without healing, they will die and get a game over screen. Notably, the bad travels in the same direction that the usual sun would, but more in the middle of the world, appearing behind the base in the morning and setting in view of the front window, but not being able to harm the Kel in this state. - "Death won't stop work" is the only event to generate another human skull prop, and is the only human skull that is unrelated to the Hell Portal event
- The "Gears" event are not a reference to "Vintage Story", as the creator never played the game before
- "Bad Sun" is partly inspired by SCP-001 "When day breaks" and is often confused by the fandom as a direct reference
- The Bad Sun ending screen speaks about needing to completely destroy earth's sun, and trapping all the light emitting from the sun, as even across the entire universe, the smallest photons of light emitting from the Bad Sun could have the same effects as on earth.
- The siren heard during the Bad Sun Event is a Delta 4, though curiously the tone fits the Swiss "Fire Alarm" signal (Alternating cis-gis) which is used to alert the fire brigade, not to warn the general population about severe danger. - The word "gooseworx", appearing as part of Rufus' summoning command, concurrently is the nickname of an YouTube content creator, specifically an animator known for her animated short films.
